The weekend that was

So the premiership started this past weekend and there were no draws. The first game this weekend saw Chelsea take on Hull, was rather boring but Hull gave Chelsea a good run, Chelsea managing to win 2-1.
I am not doing a wrap up of all games but just the important ones, Big spending Man City opened their season with a 2-0 win at Blackburn and Arsenal blasted Everton 6-1. I am not ashamed to say that I am an Everton Supporter.
Man United did not impress with a 1-0 win over Birmingham and Liverpool lost to an ever improving Tottenham side in a 2-1 thriller. Tottenham was however the better side.
On the Rugby front, the major contenders for the Currie cup had wins with the Bulls scraping through against unexpected front runners Griquas 25-24.

But I guess the talk of the weekend and for the rest of the week will be Usain Bolt smashing his 100m record in a time of 9.58secs, knowing that Tyson Gay ran 9.71secs and he was a distant second, can't wait for the 200m and the 4X100m relay events.

Other than the sports that was on offer this weekend I had rather an uneventful weekend which I spent on the couch.

Something to marvel over
